Yesterday, Senator Peter Mills unveiled what he dubbed his “Gubernatorial Advisory Committee” – a collection of backers who will apparently be involved in his campaign in some fashion, though to what degree is unclear.

The list sports a variety of interesting names – namely former Governor of Maine from a long begotten era, John Reed (the last Republican Governor prior to Jock McKernan), the son of former Governor (from an even more begotten era) Horace Hildreth, former State Senator and 2002 gubernatorial hopeful James Libby, and libertarian (small L) activist, former State Representative Ken Lindell.

Hilariously awesome factoid:  There are not less than four men wearing bow ties among this committee.  Kudos to Karl Turner, Tom Saviello, Chris Rector and Ken Lindell for refusing to buckle to societal anti-bow tie pressure.  Then again, I consider Tucker Carlson’s rejection of the bow tie to be one of the greatest things that has ever happened on this planet.

Update:  Stephanie has brought it to my attention that there is in fact a fifth bow tie wearing Mills supporter – his campaign manager Marc Pitman.  You guys should start a group on Facebook or something.
